Bloomeur Refined Perfumery: Returns & Exchanges
At Bloomeur Refined Perfumery, we strive for your complete satisfaction with our artisanal fragrances. We understand that scent is a deeply personal journey, and we are here to ensure your experience is seamless.
1. Return Policy
We accept returns on products within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:
- Unopened & Sealed: The fragrance must be in its original, unopened packaging with the cellophane seal intact.
- Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or order number is required.
- Condition: The bottle and box must be free of damage or signs of use.
Note: Due to hygiene and safety standards, we cannot accept returns on fragrances that have been opened, sprayed, or used. Also note that the cost of return to our door will be the responsibility of the buyer.
2. The “Discovery Guarantee”
Every full-sized bottle comes with a matching 2ml sample vial. We encourage you to try the sample set first.
3. Exchanges
If you find that your chosen scent isn’t the perfect match, you may exchange an unopened product for another fragrance of equal or greater value (with payment of the difference as well as courier costs to and from our door for the buyer).
- Exchanges must be initiated within 14 days of receipt.
- The original item must meet the “Unopened & Sealed” criteria mentioned above.
4. Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged (e.g., a broken bottle or leaking atomizer), please contact us at hello@bloomeur.co.za within 48 hours of delivery. Please include:
- Your order number.
- Photographs of the damaged item and the shipping packaging. We will provide a prepaid return label and issue a replacement immediately.
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Sample Discovery Sets.
- Individual 2ml Samples.
- Limited Edition or “Final Sale” items.
- Gift Cards.
How to Initiate a Return
- Email our concierge team at hello@bloomeur.co.za with the subject line “Return Request: [Order Number]”.
- Once approved, we will provide you with the return shipping address.
- Shipping Costs: Unless the item is defective, customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I return a perfume if I’ve already sprayed it? To ensure the health and safety of our clients, we cannot accept returns on fragrances that have been opened or sprayed. We recommend starting with our Discovery Set or using the complimentary sample included with your order to test the scent before opening the full-sized bottle.
How long does it take to get my money back? Once our laboratory receives and inspects your return, we will process your refund within 5–7 business days. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 3–5 days for the funds to appear in your account.
Do I have to pay for return shipping? Yes, for standard “change of mind” returns or exchanges, the client is responsible for return shipping costs. However, if your bottle arrives damaged or defective, Bloomeur will provide a prepaid shipping label.
What if my perfume smells different than the last time I bought it? Because we use high-quality, often natural ingredients, slight variations in color or scent may occur between batches. However, if you feel there is a significant defect, please contact our concierge team.
